Runners

The following photos I took from a low point (i.e. ducking) with a Pentax 55mm F/1.8 lens (last produced in 1977 but still works like a charm).
It is somewhat tough to get moving subjects with manual focus, at least for the spoiled generation that we are, but with practice it becomes a walk (or run..) in the park.

Sigma 24mm Super Wide II F2.8

I like to use this lens for street photos because of it's field of view on APS-C cameras and I find it meters quite accurately on my K-x, considering the challenging light conditions the ever changing streets can have.
You will note that these shots don't tell anything about the sharpness and color rendition of the lens, but are just an example of a possible application.

Strolling Cat

I hereby follow up the success of my last Pussy post and bring you an amazing strolling street cat that seemed to be intrigued by me at least as much as I was intrigued by him.
This time, starring Mr Helios 44K-4 at f/4 I think, but I can't be sure.
Comment if you like.
Cheers.

SMC Pentax-F 35-70mm F3.5-4.5

I'm testing an old lens from the first generation of Pentax auto focus lenses that was made in the late 80's until around 1991 (don't know when my copy was produced). this lens claims to have macro capability although it only magnifies up to 1:4, but it does have sort of a "close focus" ability when at 70mm that is activated by turning the zoom ring after it reaches 70mm, which is not a natural thing to do if I haven't known that beforehand.
I find the focus to be hard to lock in close ups using the very uncomfortable and short focusing ring. nevertheless, here are a few samples from my first outdoors test (click to enlarge)
